Shaw University, founded in 1865, is the oldest historically black college of the South.  Shaw is a private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the Baptist Church.  The University awards degrees in both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
 
Shaw University offers degree programs designed for the non-traditional adult student at multiple remote campuses called CAPE (College of Adult and Professional Education).  To find out more about these programs, simply click on the following link:  Link to CAPE Sites  Students interested in the CAPE program should contact the appropriate CAPE site for additional admissions information.   If you wish to apply for the CAPE program, you can use the on-line application on the right-hand side of this page.

Divinity School

Applicants to the Divinity programs at Shaw University are required to submit a $50.00 application fee as well as the following required paperwork:
 
1.  Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities.
2.  Two letters of reference
3.  Health forms completed by your physician (resident students only)
